We are extremely pleased to have the exceptionally talented Chris Martin join Unseen. Chris's work draws on a diverse range of influences that range from surrealism, Hokusai and Pixar to the local pub, house music and David Attenborough. He describes his work method as traditional in manner, sketching with pencils and pens on paper before opening his precious Mac and going digital. Chris also likes to experiment with different media and styles which helps create his distinctive style, and enables him to be both flexible and commercial. He may be adept at drawing pimp elves, sexy monsters and porn-reading robot men, but he can also draw plenty of pretty pictures too.
His fledgling, yet already impressive career has seen him illustrate the cover of the Guardian’s G2 supplement; provide character design for the award-winning Comcast mobile phone advert working with Nexus Production; design the Shoreditch Map and work for brands including Nokia, Umbro, Nike and Alive Records amongst others.
If you would like to view Chris's portfolio please get in touch here.
The illustration above is a specially commissioned piece by Chris - Happy Christmas to you all!

Alice Stevenson- Carol Ann Duffy
I have spent a good chunk of this year working on both the cover and inside illustrations for Carol Ann Duffy's Collected Childrens Poems for Faber and Faber. There were 147 illustrations in total so it was a bit of a marathon but very rewarding and enjoyable! I believe its due out in the shops very soon...
